The IOSH Working Safely course takes a refreshing approach to health and safety training. With a fun and interactive programme, it is an ideal introduction into the importance of health and safety. Jargon-free and engaging, it focuses on everyday knowledge rather than long discussion of legislation.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
This short course aims to develop learners’ awareness of health and safety issues, to ensure that they understand the main hazards associated with the workplace.
This is a one-day course.
No previous training or certification is required for this course. However, learners are expected to have a good understanding of both spoken and written English.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The IOSH Working Safely course is designed for all staff who are looking for a general overview of health and safety in the workplace.
Filled with memorable, thought-provoking facts and case studies, this course delivers a programme of interactive learning. Each module of the course is supported with genuine work scenarios that emphasise practical application, as well as interactive games and quizzes to help delegates learn in a fun and informal way.
The course covers the following subjects:
- Introducing working safely
- Defining hazard and risk
- Identifying common hazards

- Protecting our environment
The final assessment consists of a short multi-format questionnaire with a multiple-choice hazard-spotting exercise.
