COURSE OUTLINE

OVERVIEW

Based on the principles of good health and safety practice, the IOSH Leading Safely course offers the practical knowledge and solutions for anyone in a position of leadership with health and safety.

Designed to be short in duration, the course is tailored to your organisation’s needs, with examples chosen to support your industry. It includes a diagnostic tool to assess your current health and safety performance, as well as support before, during and after the course via the IOSH for Leaders online app.

The course is designed to illustrate how health and safety is not just a legal requirement but a valuable investment for your business. It shows how to incorporate better health and safety practice into management systems and reduce accident rates, improve your reputation and save on insurance premiums and legal costs.

DURATION

This is a half-day course.

PREREQUISITES

The course is designed for anyone with senior responsibility for health and safety management. No previous qualifications are required.

Shortly before the course IOSH we will send you an email welcoming you to the course and inviting you to download the IOSH for Leaders app. You are encouraged to complete the diagnostic questionnaire before the day of the course.

Whilst you can take most of our open courses at our training centres, we are able to offer on-site training with a national coverage, and since the Pandemic, offer online learning on some of our courses, where possible.

This means that once you’ve booked the course, we will arrange a date and time to visit your workplace or venue of choice to conduct the training course.
