COVID-19: Returning to Work Safely
COVID-19: Return to Work Risk Assessment
Get your workplace COVID-19 secure as you prepare to re-open with this essential health and safety package.
On Monday 23rd March 2020, the UK Government announced a national lockdown which saw all non-essential schools, businesses and workplaces shut their doors under the ‘stay at home’ order with the aim of ‘flattening the curve’ and preventing the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases and deaths from overwhelming the NHS.
As we overcame the peak and started to see numbers decline (almost two months later) the UK prepared to move into the beginning stages of returning to some semblance of normality in what is being called ‘Our Plan To Rebuild’.
As a result, businesses and workplaces are starting to prepare to re-open, but under strict guidelines from scientists, health professionals and the Government as to what employers need to do to control the spread of COVID-19 on their premises.
It is vital that these measures are understood and put into place before workers, customers and visitors can walk through the doors of your establishment to ensure that they are not put at, potentially fatal risk.
Furthermore, Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has promised that HSE visits will increase, in order to make sure that businesses are complying to these new guidelines and taking the threat of COVID-19 seriously.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our unique solution, developed by technical specialists from across the Evolve H&S business, is delivered through a comprehensive five-stage process:
- PROJECT KICK-OFF AND PREPARATION
A kick-off working session with the client management team to cover key points including the client measures in place for a safe return to work, mapping the portfolio of sites and defining project scope.
- SYSTEM ASSESSMENT
A review of management-level activities consisting of document review and interviews with management-level staff
- SITE ASSESSMENT
Site assessments across a defined sample size using a site-specific assessment form, which will evaluate the application of protocols and measures reviewed during the System Assessment phase.
Our assessor will determine a level of compliance for each individual point on the assurance checklist. This will include additional guidance or corrective actions which should be taken to meet either legal compliance or good practices.
On completion, if requirements have been achieved, Evolve H&S will issue a Restart your Business Assurance Certificate, providing independent assurance to employees, stakeholders and customers.
